In an interconnected world, all smart devices share one common need: Power. And in a world with an ever-increasing demand for energy, sustainability has never been more important. Batteries are inherently flawed, with short lifespans causing incessant replacement, inconvenient and harmful disposal practices, and scaling issues. But while we have not found a replacement for the battery, we may have a way to hem the damage caused. Energy Harvesting is a new, environment-friendly trend of harnessing the ambient energy around us, such as solar, hydro, and wind power, and through efficient use of the power harvested from these sources, we can keep our energy clean.
