Apply UV-C LED to the Decontamination System
Ultraviolet C (UV-C) is a short-wave ultraviolet light ranging from 100nm to 280nm. UV-C light is known to deactivate viruses, bacteria and spores by interfering with their DNA and RNA, preventing them from replicating and thus rendering them ineffective as pathogens. UV-C band effectively sanitizes surfaces, air and water in consumer, industrial and specialist applications such as home, hospital and commercial planes.
High-power UV-C LED enables deeper, more powerful treatment in large-scale applications. UV-C LED offers a compact, robust and mercury-free alternative to the traditional mercury lamps used to produce UV light. UV-C LEDs can support flexible and fast switchable designs with space-optimized integration, even inside extremely space-limited structures.
The use of a UV sensor alongside UV LEDs could even enable the development of intelligent UV-C treatment systems. Dosage can be optimized precisely to achieve the treatment of contaminants required in any application.
