The XC6192 series, which won this award
Torex Semiconductor Ltd. (Tokyo Japan: President, Koji Shibamiya, 6616: 1st section at Tokyo Stock Exchange) has won a prize in the Electronic-Electrical Parts Category at "The Super Monodzukuri Parts Grand Award 2018" held by Monozukuri Nippon Conference and The Daily Industrial News.
The XC6192 series, which is power saving Push Button Load switch are power saving push button load switch ICs that shut down (shut OFF) the power line after shipping testing of battery-equipped devices. This enables a significant saving of power consumption during prolonged storage.
Small battery-operated devices like IoT devices, wireless earphones and all that has spread now. Along with that, there is a critical need for power saving when shut down.
Although turned off the power, MCU and Power IC are always in stand-by mode and continues to consume power. The small-capacity batteries will be running down by a few months.
The XC6192 series are push button load switch ICs that shut off the current to MCU and Power IC completely after the power shut-down. In previous products,it was necessary to control by software on the MCU in order to activate it with a push button. However, the XC6192 series can detect the push button signal and activate it by the IC.
Launched in 2017, XC6192 series were widely adopted for small size and mini battery-operated devices.
