Silicon Labs and LifeSmart Partner to Launch New Optimized Smart Home Panel for Whole-House Control and Connectivity
Silicon Labs’ Sub-GHz and Zigbee Wireless solutions power up to 500 Sub-G nodes for expansive smart home coverage
Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB), a leader in secure, intelligent wireless technology for a more connected world, and LifeSmart, a leading IoT company providing smart home products and solutions on the global market, today announced their collaboration on LifeSmart’s new smart home control panel, the Nature Mini Pro. Optimized with Silicon Labs’ Zigbee EFR32 MG21 SoC and EZRadioPRO Sub-GHz Transceiver (Si4438), the Nature Mini Pro control panel supports multiprotocol gateways, integrating Sub-GHz and Zigbee mesh networks to connect up to 500 Sub-G nodes in Star and Zigbee mesh networks for expansive connectivity and 200m² of whole-house smart control.
“Silicon Labs provides the industry-leading multiprotocol solution portfolio that our design partners need to bring their smart home products to market,” said Jake Alamat, vice president and general manager of Silicon Labs’ IoT home and life business unit. “This collaboration is a great example of how Silicon Labs bolsters companies as they enter the global market. LifeSmart has created an award-winning panel using Silicon Labs’ leading Sub-GHz and Zigbee solutions to enable seamless whole-house smart control and expand users’ range beyond wireless transmission, pushing the limits of their portfolio of smart home applications well beyond expectations.”
Silicon Labs’ EZRadioPRO Sub-GHz transceiver series equips the Nature Mini Pro with long range coverage while ensuring low power consumption. Silicon Labs’ EFR32MG21 series Zigbee SoCs increase wireless signal coverage with 20dBm Tx output power and -104.5 dBm Rx sensitivity and leverage Silicon Labs’ Simplicity Studio 5 integrated development environment to help engineers accelerate time to market.
“Nature Mini Pro is the latest member of LifeSmart’s smart panel product family. In this new Linux-platform Panel, Silicon Labs’ wireless solutions provide a multiprotocol gateway that breaks through wall limits for whole-house intelligent control and extends coverage to 200m²,” said Denny Dong, CEO of LifeSmart. “Nature Mini Pro can also connect up to 500 devices through the smart home’s wireless network and control them remotely.”
With immense ecosystem compatibility, Nature Mini Pro can easily connect with standard protocol supporting third-party Zigbee ZHA or Zigbee 3.0 devices and can also connect various Sub-GHz end-devices from LifeSmart, including door locks, curtains, light switches, carbon monoxide detectors and more. Additionally, Nature Mini Pro supports smart voice recognition locally without requiring connection to the cloud, improving users’ privacy at home and avoiding internet access restrictions.
LifeSmart is joining and sponsoring the Asia-Pacific region (APAC) sessions of Silicon Labs’ Works With 2021 conference, held September 15-16 China Standard Time (CST). Denny Dong, CEO of LifeSmart, will deliver a keynote with Jake Alamat, vice president and general manager of Silicon Labs’ IoT home and life business unit, covering current market trends and future growth opportunities for IoT market. The session will be held Sept. 16 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM CST. More keynote information here.
