EDOM Opens Acoustic Laboratory toward Intelligent Sound Market
EDOM Technology (TWSE: 3048), Asia's best solutions partner, today announced the opening of its new acoustic laboratory in Shenzhen, China. The standard audio testing environment of the newly expanded facility will support EDOM's customers to deliver high quality acoustic products to the market.
The new acoustic laboratory features a high standard of testing equipment, including audio analyzers, multi-channel sound cards, head simulator, and monitor-grade speaker and acoustic calibrators. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art anechoic chamber that blocks external environmental interference while providing a stable low-noise (<10dB) test environment. Furthermore, the new facility allows ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) testing, as well as measuring frequency response, distortion, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and other electro-acoustic tests for microphones (including MEMS microphones and electret condenser microphones) and speakers.
"The smart voice recognition, smart speaker, and TWS headset markets continue to grow rapidly. We see a plenty of opportunities in these market segments and believe that this new facility will better serve the growing needs of EDOM’s acoustic product customers," said Sung Yi Lin, general manager of EDOM South China. "Located in the EDOM Shenzhen office, the new laboratory is fully equipped to perform qualitative tests and quantitative acoustic measurements. We are committed to providing exceptional service to help our customers to quickly bring advanced products to market."
The new acoustic laboratory is a full anechoic chamber, and the mixing room will be established soon. EDOM expects to provide customers superior services through the comprehensive acoustic facilities going forward.
