Zeiss joined forces with CyteSi and EDOM - Launched the AI Platform for Biological Laboratories to achieve accurate detection
Optical technology pioneer Zeiss Taiwan joins forces with CyteSi (CyteSi, inc), a startup company dedicated to biomedical testing technology and equipment R&D; and EDOM Technology, an electronic component distributor, to build an automatic platform that supports universal biological laboratory, it can reduce the inspection process to a single platform, helping to reduce tedious operating procedures, consumable materials and manpower, while achieving stable and accurate inspection results. This achievement had been showcased at GTC 2024, where EDOM Technology, a long-term partner of NVIDIA, participating for the first time physically in San Jose, California, from March 18th to 21st.
CyteSi's AI Platform uses the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Edge Computing Module as the main computing core, which is represented by EDOM Technology, paired up with Zeiss’ industrial lenses and optical inspection technology and CyteSi's Lab-on-a-Chip technology, simplifies traditional complex and time-consuming inspection work into a single miniaturized inspection platform. CyteSi's AI Platform is equipped with a simple UI interface. Analysts can customize the test parameters through rapid edge computing functions and precise optical detection technology to achieve various applications such as early-stage disease screening, synthetic biology, and drug synthesis.
“Biotech medicine is a key national development project,” said PT Choeng, Head of ZEISS Taiwan, “We look forward to using the CyteSi innovative AI Platform, combined with the accurate and excellent image quality of Zeiss industrial lenses, to lead the development of precision medicine and preventive medicine in the field of biomedical chip detection, and provide most accurate, durable and prompt medical technology services."
Technology is driving the innovation of the healthcare industry. The challenge we face today is the shortage of human resources. How can we use technology to transform healthcare to reduce workload, prevent errors, and optimize the deployment of resources and manpower?” Tung-Yu Wu (CEO of CyteSi) said, “We are very pleased to team up with EDOM Technology and Zeiss to build the AI Platform, we hope that with the support of technology, healthcare can accelerate to provide a faster, more accurate, and steady medical services.
“Technological healthcare has been a hot topic recently. With the promotion of emerging technologies, the costs and procedures of medical research have been reduced. CyteSi combined biomedicine and semiconductor technology will greatly improve the quality and efficiency of medical research. We look forward to collaborating with CyteSi and partaking in this healthcare innovation." Said Vincent Wang, Vice President, New Business Development Division, EDOM Technology.
